No doubt many filers who heat tension their bandsaws (as I do) have scratched heads from trying to figure out how to do that. If you come up with a way, please share it with us all. Obvious benefits are: no rolling stresses and weakening of sawplate which sometimes leads to dishing, and of course a flatter saw. I have attempted heat tension on circular saws, but was unsuccessful due to the wave distortion when the rim stretched. So have fun when it curls up! and keep us posted...
