Word about the industry is that Simonds and Pacific/Hoe will merge in the very near future....Good or bad news?

Bad news. Less manufacturers out there, the less competition to keep the prices down or drive inovations. Hardly suprising if it does happen given the tough times.

Not good news as with less competition , quality suffers . Hardly surprising though with the state of the industry and economy .
