It appears that instead of a Simonds/Hoe merger, it will actually be Simonds buying out Pac/Hoe...Insiders say it is a done deal with official announcement due b/4 the end of the year...

It's a done deal. Simonds takes over at the end of the month. Sounds like any one who works at Pac/Hoe will be let go and Simonds will re hire who they want. I wonder how long before the price of saws go up?
